Where AI agents actually save money

By the Astaria team

An agent is worth building when a task is high volume, low judgement, and already written down somewhere. Triaging inbound enquiries qualifies. Deciding a planning application does not.

Keep a human in the loop for anything that spends money, sends a message to a resident or customer, or changes a record. Approval steps cost seconds and save reputations.

Measure the baseline first. If you do not know how long the job takes today, you cannot tell whether the agent helped.

Log every action the agent takes with the inputs it saw. When something goes wrong, and it will, you need to explain it to an auditor in plain language.
